“Promo’s are not always a true reflection of events. I am happy to report that this event was over and above any promo or even my own expectations.”

“I attended Strive and Thrive event last July. I have suffered for many years with mental health conditions including Anxiety (& Social Anxiety). I was keen to go to this event as the promo suggested it would be a safe place with like-minded people with a focus on supporting, encouraging and breaking down the stigma of mental health within our community. Promo’s are not always a true reflection of events. I am happy to report that this event was over and above any promo or even my own expectations. I arrived early as I always do in an attempt to survey the venue before too many people arrive. I was greeted instantly with warm welcoming smiles. I found people to be caring, open and genuine. I soon warmed to the day and even found the courage to speak to people I had never met. Throughout the day, I felt that the Strive and Thrive team were never far away. I felt that they genuinely cared about me and they took the time to check in with me at intervals. This was such a unique experience as everywhere I went and everyone I spoke to, I felt showered in love. I came away from the day feeling uplifted, cared for and accepted. I made new friends and was able to see a different future for myself. One where I didn’t have to hide away feeling shame for the struggles I sometimes have with my mental health. I have nothing but praise and admiration for the wonderful Strive and Thrive team.”

She has a unique, heart-warming and gentle way of pulling people out of what seemed to be eternal darkness and helping them discover the light at the end of every tunnel.

One of my greatest blessings was crossing paths with Nori. Her heart of gold has brought so much light not only into my life but also to others around her. She has a unique, heart-warming and gentle way of pulling people out of what seemed to be eternal darkness and helping them discover the light at the end of every tunnel. It is not just her life experience that makes her the best mentor, but it is her genuine compassion and generous heart that truly touches deep down to your core. I’ve could not have picked a better mentor/role model/boss in my life.

“It was what she said, that started a chain of events, that took me through some transformational stages, making me a better person that I am now.”

There is a saying, “People don’t remember what you did or said to them, but they will remember how you made them feel”. However, with Norita, it was a combination of all of the above.

It wasn’t just how she made me feel, by just listening to me, and suggesting ideas, it was what she said, that started a chain of events, that took me through some transformational stages, making me a better person that I am now. While it took me a while to link what had happened to me to these particular sayings, I’m so glad for these to take place. I’ve learned not to rush things, and that everything happens for a reason at the right time and place.

I’m full of gratitude to have met Norita and spending time with her, now also participating in the events she organizes. Being around like-minded and positive people certainly, helps. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Norita to anyone who goes through challenging time(s), looking for a change, or seeking for positive people and joining a great tribe.

With love and gratitude, always,

She brought such an uplifting and fun energy to a subject that is often difficult for others to talk about

“A great event that was very inspiring. Loved hearing Norita’s story and struggle with depression and anxiety – I could relate to her story a lot. She brought such an uplifting and fun energy to a subject that is often difficult for others to talk about. Great to see people making a difference in the community through sharing their own struggles – keep up the good work! Xx!”

I was surrounded by positive people and vibes – we had lots of fun!

“I met Norita a week before her strive and thrive event via a Facebook group page. It was perfect timing as it was right at that time that I needed a ‘pick-me-up’. I suffer from depression ever since I finished my chemo and radiotherapy sessions back in 2014. Some days are good but some days are not. So when Norita mentioned her event, I jumped at the chance to go and I was glad I did. The afternoon went quickly. I was surrounded by positive people and vibes – we had lots of fun! Although that event did not completely ‘heal’ me, it definitely helped in a lot of ways. Hearing Norita’s story and how she got to where she is now is quite inspiring. I know she will continue to help and inspire many more people. Onwards and upwards Norita! More power!”

“We’ve all been to afternoon teas that we’ve enjoyed and talked about afterwards, but the launch of Strive and Thrive was something else again.”

To hear the heartfelt stories and feel the emotion in the room … there was not one person who wouldn’t have been touched by some of the things they heard.

It wasn’t just about sharing their stories, the presenters are passionate about using their experiences to help others who need it, and that help is available in so many different forms.

For me it wasn’t just listening to a counsellor or a coach talking, it was about living through the experiences with each of the presenters and seeing how they have come out the other side to be happy and successful, and in a position to help others, and to pass on this information so others can do the same.

Good on you Norita for having the courage and the drive to bring Strive and Thrive together (in such a short space of time) with the intention of giving hope and confidence to others to see the light at the end of the tunnel and be the best they can be.”

“There were laughs and healing tears leaving me feeling both at peace with the world and excited for what life held for me next.”

“The inaugural Strive and Thrive event in January 2016 was one of a kind. With a room full of people wanting to better themselves and talented speakers, it provided a combination of learning, inspiration and fun.  There were laughs and healing tears leaving me feeling both at peace with the world and excited for what life held for me next.

“..So refreshing to see a well organised event run truly from the heart and truly for a greater cause.”

“I had the pleasure of attending the launch of Strive and Thrive in January and was so refreshing to see a well organised event run truly from the heart and truly for a greater cause. Nori and Shaun are the most genuine people with big hearts who truly want to give back. Nori’s life journey adds the element of how anyone can achieve what they want with the right mindset, guidance and help to all her events which is so inspiring.”

“I am looking forward to connecting again with so many wonderful, like minded people and businesses at the next event! “

“I was fortunate enough to attend the first Strive and Thrive event. Even though I had known Nori for a little while prior to this event, I had no idea of the challenges she had faced in her life and the way she had worked to overcome them where possible and learn to live with them where she had to.

Not only did she give an incredible talk, so did the other speakers she brought together. Kristy Ambrose from Skillz for Kids moved the room to tears with her heartfelt presentation and Carolyn Verhoef lifted the mood and got everyone moving with her Shy Girls Belly Dance demo.

I am looking forward to connecting again with so many wonderful, like minded people and businesses at the next event! Thank you so much Nori and Shaun and your team for the fab event you put together”

“The Strive and Thrive launch was uplifting, fun and energetic. It raised awareness and the spirits of everyone who attended”

“I was fortunate enough to be able to attend and speak at the inaugural Strive and Thrive event back in January 2016. What an event and what a day!! The energy in the room was electric, so much good will, so much happiness, so much love, so much desire to really talk about what needs to be done and what can be done to support the ever growing numbers of people in our community with stress, anxiety and low mood. So often it can be easier to shy away from these topics that sadly leaves suffers feeling alone. The Strive and Thrive event was up lifting, fun and energetic. It raised awareness and the spirits of everyone who attended”I can’t wait for the next one!

“Norita’s own story of triumph over many challenging issues including her brain injury was especially touching.”

I was honoured & thrilled to be a part of the first ever Strive & Thrive event. To be invited to present to a room of people and inspire & help people dealing with such issues as anxiety and depression was such a gift. Norita’s own story of triumph over many challenging issues including her brain injury was especially touching. The way in which Norita is choosing to reach out and help prevent other’s from suffering is truly uplifting. What a positive, shining example! I am looking forward to Strive & Thrive’s next event!

“It was so inspirational to hear Norita’s story and to meet so many great new people…”

“I attended Norita’s Strive and Thrive launch event without knowing what to expect and I have to say I am so grateful I got invited by a friend to join. It was so inspirational to hear Norita’s story and to meet so many great new people all being in the same boat and willing to network to all help each other out getting closer to our passion. And apart from that it was actually also a real carefree fun event. There’s something for everyone.”

“I suddenly feel so blessed for my crappy life after hearing Norita’s story…”

“Having a family who fights a lot and my own personal dramas made me realised I need to find new direction. I saw Strive and Thrive’s launch event ad on Facebook and something tells me I should go. And I am glad I did. All this time I thought my life was crap but after hearing Norita’s story, I feel sorry and guilty that I thought my life was crap! The event was truly inspiring and though I do not know anyone there but I feel ‘home’. I wasn’t brave enough to talk to you Norita but I think you are so amazing to have come up so positively after what you have been through. You made me realised that only I can make a choice to change and I will change because I want to be happy. So Thank you and I will hug you next time I see you at your next event.”
